Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate all items for import, ensure accuracy of declared values, and coordinate with customs brokers for clearance of imports while maintaining required documentation.
- Coordinate with CHA (Custom House Agents) and freight forwarders for import shipments and ensure the timely delivery of materials to the factory.
- Handle import and export documentation, validate document accuracy, and verify checklists for import/export filing.
- Follow up with CHA, freight forwarders, and shipping companies to ensure smooth shipment processing.
- Coordinate with end users/customers for timely approvals and required confirmations.
- Proactively resolve queries related to customs and other related departments.
- Maintain Daily Shipment Reports (DSR) and update them regularly.
- Track shipment status and provide timely updates to customers.
- Work knowledge of DGFT regulations and other applicable licenses.
