Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Environmental Services Supervisor. The Environmental Services Supervisor reports to the Environmental Services Collections Superintendent. The primary functions of this position include:
- Lead, develop, and support a team of Solid Waste Operators and Solid Waste Workers — managing hiring, scheduling, performance, and day-to-day operations across collection routes
- Monitor field performance through ride-alongs, safety observations, and one-on-ones, and coordinate cross-training to build operational flexibility and career growth opportunities for team members
- Oversee route planning and equipment allocation, partnering with the routing technician to optimize collections and respond to changing field conditions
- Manage departmental procurement, budget oversight, and administrative records including timecards, performance logs, and daily operations reports
- Serve as a point of contact for complex customer and stakeholder concerns, and lead emergency response to field incidents including spills, accidents, and service disruptions

This is an exempt position, ineligible for overtime compensation. Employment with the Town of Gilbert is at-will.

- High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.); Associate's degree highly desirable
- 3 years of industry experience
- 2 years of supervisory experience
- Valid Arizona Driver's License
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work
This position requires a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen.
