Role Description The Tour Leader role at Unventured Expeditions India is a part-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The Tour Leader will guide small groups on adventure and experiential tours, ensuring travelers have a safe, engaging, and culturally rich experience. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading guided tours, sharing local insights and stories, coordinating logistics with tour operators, and managing schedules and itineraries. The role involves providing attentive customer service, responding to traveler needs and questions, and maintaining high safety standards throughout each trip. The Tour Leader will also support pre-tour research and preparation, assist in training new guides when needed, and represent Unventured’s values of responsible and authentic travel.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in Guided Tours and working with Tour Operators.
- Excellent Customer Service skills with a traveler-focused mindset.
- Ability to conduct Research to prepare itineraries, local insights, and safety information.
- Experience in Training or mentoring new tour leaders or support staff.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages in Karnataka is an advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of Bengaluru and broader Indian culture, history, and geography.
- Proven ability to manage groups, adapt to changing situations, and make decisions under pressure.
- Availability to work part-time, including weekends and holidays as required by tour schedules.
- Background in travel, hospitality, outdoor education, or related fields is beneficial.
- Commitment to responsible travel, safety standards, and inclusive, respectful traveler interactions.
