About the Role
7th Sky Tours and Travels is looking for an experienced Tour Consultant / Travel Consultant who can independently design, sell, and manage end-to-end holiday packages. This is an ideal role for a candidate with strong destination knowledge, supplier coordination skills, and a successful background in outbound holiday sales and itinerary planning. The role requires someone who can convert travel inquiries into confirmed bookings while delivering a high level of service and customization.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end planning, customization, costing, and execution of domestic and international holiday packages.
- Convert inbound and outbound travel inquiries into successful bookings.
- Design customised FIT and leisure itineraries based on client preferences, travel style, and budget.
- Manage outbound package enquiries for destinations including Europe, South Africa, Japan, Turkey, and other international sectors.
- Coordinate with DMCs, hotels, airlines, visa agents, and other suppliers for best rates and availability.
- Prepare accurate quotations, proposals, and detailed travel plans with speed and precision.
- Follow up proactively with clients to close sales and improve conversion ratios.
- Handle bookings, documentation, payments, and post-sales support.
- Upsell and cross-sell travel services such as insurance, activities, upgrades, and transfers.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships for better pricing and service quality.
- Stay updated on destination trends, visa requirements, seasonal offers, and market demand.
- Manage escalations, itinerary changes, and last-minute adjustments professionally.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of domestic and international destinations.
- Proven experience in holiday packages, itinerary creation, and client conversion.
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Strong communication and customer-handling ability.
- Good understanding of outbound travel and FIT holiday planning.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good supplier network and contracting experience preferred.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.
- Familiarity with GDS systems, CRM tools, and travel software is an advantage.
Eligibility Criteria
- 2–6 years of relevant experience in a travel agency or tour operator role.
- Proven track record in holiday package sales and conversions.
- Prior experience as a travel consultant, tour consultant, or similar holiday sales role is preferred.
- Candidates without relevant travel industry experience will not be considered.
