SME - India Payroll

As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will be the go-to person for all payroll-related matters. You will make sure the payroll process runs smoothly, accurately, and follows all government rules like PF, ESIC, PT, and Income Tax. You will also guide and support a team of payroll associates; help solve difficult payroll problems and improve the way payroll is managed. This role is perfect for someone with strong payroll experience who wants to grow as a leader and expert in the field. Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of 2 Payroll Associates, ensuring all payroll activities are performed accurately and timely. Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, including salary calculations, deductions, reimbursements, bonuses, and incentives. Ensure statutory compliance including accurate calculation and timely remittance of PF, ESIC, PT, and TDS along with the filing of all monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory returns. Monitor daily payroll operations, track progress, and provide hands-on support to associates as needed. Prepare, review, and submit payroll reports and statutory filings on schedule. Ensure strict confidentiality and data security throughout payroll operations. Maintain leave & attendance of client employees. Very good in statutory law and domain knowledge. Manage multiple clients' payroll processing. Stay updated on changes in payroll laws, regulations, and best practices and disseminate knowledge within the team.
