Job Description

As a Soul Team Member within our Outreach and Grassroots Engagement department at TOPOP, you will be at the frontline, dedicated to connecting with the electorate and building strong relationships within the community. Your role is vital in engaging voters, understanding their concerns, and ensuring their voices are heard, ultimately contributing to the success of political clients and candidates by cultivating a dedicated and passionate support base.

Responsibilites

  • Connect with community members, voters, and volunteers at the grassroots level through face-to-face interactions, phone calls, and digital outreach.
  • Act as a liaison between the campaign and the community to understand their needs and concerns, encouraging voter participation, awareness, and registration.
  • Assist in organizing and participating in campaign events and community gatherings, ensuring logistics, scheduling, and materials are prepared for successful events.
  • Gather data on voter preferences, issues, and demographics, providing data-driven insights to the campaign teams for targeted messaging.
  • Foster strong relationships within the community and build a dedicated support base by collaborating with local influencers, volunteers, and community leaders.
  • Collect feedback and input from the community, providing regular reports on community sentiment and concerns to the campaign.
  • Ensure all activities within the war room comply with campaign regulations and ethical standards, upholding a culture of ethical conduct and confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Passion for community engagement, politics, and advocacy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to empathize and connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in community organizing and outreach strategies.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
  • Commitment to ethical campaign practices and inclusivity.
