Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Tool Design Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in Sheet Metal and Press Tool Design. The candidate should have hands-on experience in designing various types of dies and developing process layouts from component drawings.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop Draw Dies, Trim Dies, Form Dies, and Cam Dies independently.
- Prepare process layouts/strip layouts based on part geometry and manufacturing requirements.
- Analyze component drawings and define tooling concepts for sheet metal parts.
- Create detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings for tools and dies.
- Coordinate with manufacturing and tryout teams to ensure successful tool development.
- Support tool modifications and continuous improvements for production requirements.
- Ensure designs comply with quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
Required Skills- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Sheet Metal / Press Tool Design.
- Strong knowledge of draw dies, trim dies, form dies, and cam dies.
- Ability to independently develop process layouts from part data.
- Proficiency in CATIA and SolidWorks (mandatory).
- Good understanding of sheet metal forming processes, GD&T, and manufacturing practices.
- Experience in automotive press tool design will be an added advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
