Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Tool Room Manager based in Chennai. The Tool Room Manager will oversee and manage daily operations within the tool room, including manufacturing, maintenance, and repair of tools, jigs, and fixtures. Responsibilities include supervising a team of technicians, ensuring high-quality outputs, maintaining safe and efficient workflows, and coordinating with other departments to meet production schedules. The role also involves managing inventory, monitoring costs, and implementing continuous improvements in tooling processes.
Qualifications
- Tool Design, Tool Maintenance, and Precision Manufacturing
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and 3D modeling for tool design
- Leadership and team management skills
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Knowledge of machining processes, CNC programming, and production techniques
- Ability to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with workplace regulations
- Experience in the automotive industry is preferred
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Design, or a related field is required
