Job Title: Mold Design Engineer UG NX Plastic Injection Mold

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Mold Design Engineer to lead and execute high-precision mold design projects. You will be responsible for creating complex 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using Siemens UG NX, ensuring that designs are optimized for manufacturability and high-performance production.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Execution: Develop complete 3D mold designs, including core, cavity, sliders, lifters, and cooling systems using UG NX Mold Wizard.
- DFM Analysis: Perform Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and feasibility studies to identify potential molding issues early in the design phase.
- Engineering Documentation: Prepare detailed 2D manufacturing drawings with appropriate GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- System Design: Design efficient gating, runner (hot/cold), and ejection systems to optimize cycle times and part quality.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with tool room, production, and quality teams to ensure seamless mold fabrication and successful trials.
- Troubleshooting: Analyze trial results and modify designs based on feedback to resolve defects like flashes, short shots, or warping.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: BE/B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Tool Design (CIPET/NTTF preferred).
- Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Siemens UG NX (latest versions) is mandatory.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of plastic materials, shrink rates, and molding behavior.
- Knowledge of tool steels, heat treatment, and surface coatings.
- Familiarity with international standards (ISO/ANSI) for mold construction.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in mold design; candidates with up to 20 years will be considered for senior/lead roles.

Preferred Attributes
- Experience in Automotive Interior/Exterior trims or Medical Device molds.
- Knowledge of MoldFlow analysis to predict resin flow and cooling efficiency.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict project
