About the role

Role Overview

Our Head of Acquisition (Contributors/ Domain Experts) will be responsible for designing and overseeing end-to-end acquisition processes to attract thousands of global contributors across diverse geographies and specialisms. The Head of Acquisition should have deep experience in high volume mass recruitment, process design, and talent funnel optimization—particularly in decentralized, gig-based, or digital workforce models.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Own Global Mass Hiring Strategy Develop and execute a scalable contributor hiring strategy that aligns with Toloka’s growth targets and needs. Manage scalability and optimisation using AI tools and other efficiency plans.
  • Team Leadership Manage and develop a team, ensure optimal staffing levels to cope with current and future business needs
  • Planning & Forecasting In collaborations with other teams (Supply, Delivery Project Management, Quality, GTM), forecast demand and set contributor hiring targets by region, skill, and where needed - language. Build strong relationships with downstream teams to ensure smooth handover from acquisition to onboarding.
  • Compliance & Localization Collaborate with the Legal team to ensure that mass hiring practices are legally compliant across regions and tailored to local norms and expectations.
  • Data & Reporting Define KPIs and monitor performance across sourcing channels, funnel stages, time-to-hire, and onboarding quality. Use insights to iterate and improve continuously. Key funnel metrics: conversion rates, cost per acquisition, activation success rate, and others.


Required Qualifications

  • Professional experience in large-scale talent acquisition operations
  • Proven experience building and optimizing global hiring workflows and recruitment infrastructure — or alternatively, designing and scaling sales pipelines and client revenue infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of hiring automation tools (e.g., ATS, CRM, AI sourcing)
  • Experience managing remote, distributed teams
  • Comfortable with fast-paced, high-growth environments and building systems from scratch.
  • Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions based on hiring funnel metrics
  • Exceptional project management and cross-functional collaboration skills


Nice to Have

  • Experience hiring gig-based workers, digital freelancers, or AI data contributors
  • Familiarity with global labor compliance and contractor management practices
  • Knowledge of the AI/ML or data annotation space
