Batch Preparation & Operation
- Operate automated batch plant systems to prepare glass batches as per production schedule.
- Ensure correct proportions of raw materials based on formulation and SOPs.
- Monitor batching sequence and timing for materials like sand, soda ash, dolomite, etc.
Ø
Material Handling & Inventory
- Check availability of raw materials in bins and coordinate with stores for replenishment.
- Maintain accurate records of material consumption and batch production.
Ø
Process Monitoring & Control
- Monitor plant parameters (weight, timing, sequence) and adjust settings as needed.
- Identify and troubleshoot process deviations or equipment malfunctions.
Ø
Quality Assurance
- Ensure batches meet required specifications for glass production.
- Coordinate with Quality Control for sampling and corrective actions.
Ø
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety protocols during material handling and plant operation.
- Maintain housekeeping and comply with environmental regulations.
Ø
Reporting & Documentation
- Log batch data, downtime, and maintenance activities in system records.
- Report any issues to the supervisor promptly.
