Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kochi for a Team Lead (TL) Student Counselors (Study Abroad). The TL will oversee a team of student counselors, ensuring high-quality guidance for students seeking international education opportunities. Responsibilities include allocating leads, monitoring counseling quality, and supporting team members with complex student cases. The role involves conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, explaining study options, admission processes, and visa requirements, and maintaining accurate records in CRM or internal systems. The TL will collaborate with universities and internal stakeholders, support outreach activities such as seminars or webinars, and work towards achieving team targets and service standards. The position requires active coordination with management, regular reporting on performance metrics, and ongoing improvement of counseling processes and materials.
Qualifications
- Strong Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills to guide learners on study abroad options and career pathways.
- Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with students, families, and institutional partners.
- Background or strong interest in Education, preferably in study abroad, international admissions, or academic advising.
- Proven experience in leading or mentoring a team in a target-driven, student-facing environment.
- Ability to work with CRM or similar tools for tracking student interactions and application progress.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Management, or a related field; a postgraduate degree is an advantage.
- Familiarity with global education systems, university application procedures, and visa processes is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities, with a focus on ethical and student-centric counseling.
