Position Summary
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This role supports resident comfort, safety, and infection control standards within the senior living community.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize resident apartments, bathrooms, common areas, offices, and service areas according to established schedules
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces using approved cleaning products
- Properly handle and dispose of trash, biohazard waste, and soiled linens
- Launder, fold, and distribute linens as assigned
- Replenish supplies such as paper products, soap, and hand sanitizer
- Follow infection control, OSHA, and community safety guidelines
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and supply needs promptly
- Interact respectfully and professionally with residents, families, and team members
- Support special cleaning projects and community events as needed
