Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) Consultant to manage, monitor, and optimize enterprise job scheduling environments. The role involves handling batch processing, workload automation, and ensuring smooth execution of business-critical jobs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and administer Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) / IBM Workload Automation (IWA)
- Monitor daily batch job execution and resolve job failures
- Create, modify, and manage job streams, workflows, calendars, and dependencies
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and troubleshoot scheduling issues
- Work with cross-functional teams (Application, Infra, DB teams)
- Automate repetitive processes and improve scheduling efficiency
- Manage agents, fault-tolerant agents (FTA), and dynamic agents
- Handle incident, problem, and change management (ITIL processes)
- Maintain documentation and runbooks
- Support L2/L3 production support activities
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) / IBM Workload Automation
- Knowledge of job scheduling concepts (job streams, dependencies, calendars)
- Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux and basic scripting (Shell, Bash)
- Understanding of batch processing and enterprise scheduling tools
- Experience in troubleshooting job failures and logs analysis
- Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow)
- Good understanding of ITIL processes
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud-based workload automation
- Knowledge of database systems (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2)
- Exposure to DevOps tools (CI/CD pipelines)
- Basic knowledge of other schedulers like Control-M, Autosys
