183 day teacher contract (bargaining unit position)
Salary commensurate with TSC Master Contract Compensation Table
Plus $3,000 stipend
Current TSC employees preferred

Requirements
Duties/responsibilities of the Student Support Specialist include but are not limited to:
- Support students with academic, social, and behavioral needs. Supports include working with individual students, in small groups, and within the classroom.
- Assist the administrator with school discipline and develop plans with students to prevent future disciplinary events.
- Work in collaboration with teachers and other building staff to plan and implement supports for identified students.
- Work closely with building administrators to create, implement, and follow through with supports for identified students.
- Communicating with parents/guardians of identified students on a regular basis.
- Support school-wide implementation of PBIS.
- Work with outside agencies as appropriate to support individual student needs.
- Attend RTI meetings for identified students.
- Schedule, facilitate, and attend parent meetings as necessary.
- Assist grade level teams with parent meetings.
- Assist with the development and implementation of 504 plans.
- Effectively communicate with students, staff, and parents.
- Use data to develop behavior plans for students to be more successful in the classroom.
- Assist with professional development sessions as needed regarding student support initiatives.
- Maintain a presence with students, staff, and families during morning arrival and afternoon dismissal.
- Assist with supervision throughout the school day.
- All other duties as assigned by principal/assistant principal.
