The Inventory Control position is responsible for monitoring inventory levels and inventory locations within the CFS system to ensure accurate tracking and recordkeeping. This role reconciles production paperwork with product labels and re-labels products as necessary due to changes in product codes, dates, weights, or other requirements. Inventory Control scans labels to correct locations using Telnet or RF scanners and creates and prints labels in CFS for incoming product.
This position generates inventory reports from the CFS system, completes daily inventory reporting, and leads freezer and cooler cycle counts. The Inventory Control role communicates all product labeling changes to the Accounting team and works collaboratively with Accounting to resolve inventory discrepancies or balance issues. Additionally, this role supports Logistics with order changes, product adjustments, and inventory updates while ensuring all inventory is properly rotated and compliant with FIFO standards.
The Inventory Control employee must adhere to company policies, GMPs, safety rules, and dress code requirements, and maintain a high level of accuracy, organization, and communication across departments.
