Workday Time & Absence Tester / QA Analyst

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Analyst with experience in Workday Time Tracking and Absence Management to support testing activities, including test script preparation, execution, and defect tracking. The role involves validating system functionality, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting releases and enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain test scripts for Workday Time Tracking and Absence modules
- Execute functional, regression, and integration testing
- Validate time entry, accruals, leave requests, and approval workflows
- Identify, log, and track defects using defect management tools
- Collaborate with functional and technical teams to resolve issues
- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) cycles
- Perform data validation and reconciliation between systems
- Participate in requirement analysis and test planning
- Ensure compliance with business rules and policies related to time and absence
- Prepare test reports and status updates
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of experience in Workday HCM testing, especially Time Tracking & Absence
- Strong understanding of:
- Time entry and validation rules
- Leave/accrual calculations
- Work schedules and calendars
- Experience in test case design and execution
- Familiarity with QA methodologies and SDLC/STLC
- Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps)
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and documentation abilities
Preferred Skills:
- Workday certification (Time Tracking or Absence Management)
- Experience with integration testing (e.g., payroll, third-party systems)
- Knowledge of automation tools (optional)
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
