Role Description
We are actively looking for 3rd officer / Third officer of BULK Vessel or Dry Vessel. The Third Officer will assist the Chief Officer in maintaining the vessel's operations, navigation, and safety protocols. Responsibilities include bridge watch-keeping, ensuring navigational safety, cargo work assistance, ensuring adherence to international maritime regulations, and carrying out safety exercises and emergency procedures. Additionally, the Third Officer will supervise deck operations, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with maintenance and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in navigation, bridge watch-keeping, and voyage planning
- Knowledge of international maritime regulations including SOLAS, MARPOL, and STCW
- Familiarity with cargo handling operations and related safety procedures
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in emergency preparedness and safety drills
- Relevant certifications such as OOW (Officer of the Watch) license
- Prior experience in deck operations on seagoing vessels is an advantage
- Commitment to safety, integrity, and operational excellence
