Position Overview
A growing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support financial operations and ensure the accuracy of financial records. This role works closely with the Director of Finance and plays a key part in maintaining financial integrity, supporting reporting processes, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. The position also provides guidance within the accounting function and helps drive operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
· Compile and analyze financial information to prepare general ledger entries.
· Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
· Prepare and file monthly sales and use tax returns.
· Reconcile sub-ledgers to general ledger accounts.
· Perform monthly financial reporting and variance analysis.
· Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules.
· Oversee inventory control processes to support accurate reporting and forecasting.
· Prepare journal entries and monthly financial reports.
· Develop and maintain reports and spreadsheets using Excel.
· Research and respond to accounting and financial inquiries.
· Conduct account analyses and assist with special projects.
· Process and record corporate credit card transactions.
· Support customer payment processing and vendor payments.
· Maintain financial records related to travel and other operational activities.
· Upload and organize banking transactions for reconciliation.
· Review and approve payments prepared by accounting staff.
· Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (advanced degree a plus).
· Minimum of 3 years of accounting or auditing experience.
· CPA designation is a plus but not required.
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis).
· Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial principles.
· Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).

Salary: $80-$100K
Bonus Eligibility: Up to 6% of base salary
