About the role

Position overview:

 

The position is responsible for:

  • Sample Inventory cycle counts.
  • Maintaining inventory accurately and according to company policies.
  • Recognizing quality issues.
  • Escalating safety, quality and any other issues that may arise during the operation.
  • Meet or exceed any productivity standards.
  • Participate in all provided training.
  • Attending weekly team meetings

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
  • Safely operates any equipment, including, but not limited to, forklifts, man-up Order Picker, voice or RF picking equipment. Able to operate at heights of ~25’ high.
  • Rotate sample inventory stock via ABC item category process 
  • Receive and put away inbound deliveries
  • Rotating Overstock inventory
  • Prep speed zone new launch collection inventory
  • Update and monitoring SKU location labels
  • Manage returns and recycling process
  • Remove Obsolete Samples from Inventory
  • Close completed sewing orders
  • Partners with the internal teams, as needed, to meet and exceed customer service expectations.
  • Provides timely feedback to the company regarding service failures or customer concerns.
  • Maintains or exceeds the standards that have been set for the team, demonstrates commitment and is accountable for results.

 

Professional experience:

 

  • Prior experience inventory control.
  • Prior experience in textiles and wallcoverings preferred.
  • Familiar with inventory and warehouse management concepts and systems. Experience with RF picking, voice picking, or pick/put to light is preferred.
  • Strong math skills (addition/subtraction/dividing/fractions).
  • Able to distinguish colors and patterns (not color blind).
  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Able to push and pull rolling carts and pallet jacks. 
  • Able to stand/walk up to 8 hours per day. 
  • Excellent computer skills, preferably in an AS400 or Infor environment.  
  • Must be able to use MS Office especially Excel and Word.
  • OSHA Forklift Certified (Sit down forklift, man-up Order Picker). Able to operate and work at heights of ~25’ high.
  • Outstanding follow-up skills.

  • Must be able to work flexibly within the distribution center’s hours, currently between 7am and 6pm eastern.

  • Dependable, good work ethic, excellent attitude and inclination to exceed daily goals.
  • Acts with a sense of urgency, multitasks and can remains focused in a very busy environment.
  • A sense of urgency while researching thoroughly and providing regular pro-active updates so customers are well informed and updated regarding all open issues, and pending orders.
