Role Description The Therapy Lead – Bangalore is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for overseeing and coordinating therapeutic services across Sukino’s continuum of care. This role involves leading a multidisciplinary therapy team, planning and monitoring treatment programs, and ensuring therapies align with individual care plans for patients with chronic and complex conditions. The Therapy Lead will conduct assessments, supervise therapy sessions, maintain clinical documentation standards, and collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and counselors to support holistic recovery and wellness. Responsibilities include mentoring junior therapists, implementing evidence-based practices, participating in case reviews, and contributing to the development of new therapy protocols and wellness programs. The role also requires effective communication with patients and families, supporting them in understanding treatment goals and engaging actively in the rehabilitation process.
Qualifications
- Relevant clinical qualifications such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Clinical Psychology, or another allied health discipline.
- Proven experience in leading or supervising therapy teams in a hospital, rehabilitation, or continuum care setting, preferably with exposure to chronic and long-term care.
- Knowledge of therapeutic interventions related to cardiology, nephrology, neurology, oncology, and wellness, including rehabilitation and post-acute care.
- Strong skills in patient assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and outcome tracking, using evidence-based and patient-centered approaches.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, communicate clearly with patients and families, and provide empathetic, culturally sensitive care.
- Experience in developing therapy protocols, quality improvement initiatives, and training or mentoring therapy staff.
- Comfort with using healthcare technology and electronic records; openness to adopting new tools and processes.
- Fluency in English and local languages (such as Kannada or Hindi) is an advantage; prior experience in Bengaluru or similar urban healthcare environments is beneficial.
