The Williamsburg Winery is looking for an outgoing and positive individual to provide exceptional service at the Gabriel Archer Tavern. The ideal candidate would be dependable, friendly and have a positive attitude.
Server Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet guests in a timely manner, providing information on specials, out of stocks, and promotions.
- Be knowledgeable about the menu and make suggestions as requested. This includes information on the local producers as well as the wine and appropriate pairings
- Take food and drink orders, input into the POS system, and ensure accuracy before delivering to table
- Assist in preparing beverages, gathering condiments, and expo
- Run food to tables, responding to any additional requests guests might have
- Issue bills, collect payment and enter into the system accurately, provide change if necessary
- Bus tables as needed, delivering to dish area and separating as instructed
- Work collaboratively with front and back of house team to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Opening side work, such as sweeping, wiping and setting tables, setting up the bar, making coffee, etc.
- Closing side work such as rolling silverware, cleaning beverage stations, restocking, etc.
- Respond to guest complaints or issues with a positive and constructive attitude
- Additional tasks as may be required
- $5/hour plus tips!
Server Qualifications:

Bartender Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for mixing, garnishing, and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to tavern and client specifications.
- Provide a positive and friendly guest experience by interacting with patrons.
- Organize the bar area to streamline drink preparation and inventory.
- Clean and sanitize the bar area and assist with other sanitary measures as requested.
- Maintain stock of the bar and replenish bar inventory as needed.
- Slice and prepare garnishes for drinks.
- Assist in cocktail menu planning and creating unique drinks.
- Adhere to tavern standards for serving alcoholic beverages.
Bartender Qualifications:
- Knowledge of mixology for traditional and creative cocktails
- Understanding of unique and complimentary flavor pairings
- Impeccable customer service
