Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, this position is responsible for assisting in providing The Villages Special Events in a professional manner throughout The Villages various venues and overseeing and assisting with set-up, safety, design, layout, and production of events. These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation and distribution of event specific information packets.
- Distribute and track vendor invoicing and payments.
- Assist the Special Events Manager with the logistical and creative aspects of each event.
- Assist the Special Events Manager in day of needs, such as but not limited to:
o Set up and breakdown.
o Monitor perimeter of the event for safety issues.
o Loading in/out vendors. - Assist the Special Events Team in ensuring all events run smoothly from concept to completion.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three (3) to six (6) months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as business needs require.
- Time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Problem solving skills and detail oriented.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- This position is subjected to The Villages Vehicle Safety Program and its policies as it requires the use of personal vehicles for company business.
- A Valid Driver’s License with a record acceptable to company standards is required for this position.
