JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for maintaining the Driving Range in accordance with Driving Range Safety Guidelines and Procedures. Provides a friendly, welcoming atmosphere which will encourage residents and guests to have an enjoyable and safe time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Includes, but not limited to)
- Greet every golfer with a smile and friendly greeting.
- Operate the range picker, golf car, automatic ball washer and other required equipment as scheduled.
- Periodic care of range cart and attached ball picker (lubrication, gas, and cleaning).
- Operate, clean and general upkeep of the ball washing facility.
- Use automated ball washer to clean balls and return balls to storage bin for use by other golfers.
- Manual ball picking required throughout the day on dry range.
- Deliver baskets of balls to starter building, Custom Club Shop and Golf Academy.
- Set-up and maintain driving range.
- Set-up and breakdown of chairs and balls for Putting Green Class and Chipping Class.
- Maintain the Driving Range in accordance with Driving Range Safety Guidelines and Procedures.
- Ability to appropriately handle stress and interact with others.
Additional
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- May be expected to perform additional duties in an emergency.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and six (6) months experience as a golfer.
MINIMUM CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid Florida Driver’s License required.
- All candidates and employees must successfully pass background screening.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Includes, but not limited to)
Knowledge
- Must have working knowledge of golf rules, etiquette, management practices and office procedures.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, time management and problem-solving skills.
Abilities
- Ability to read/write and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
EQUIPMENT (Includes, but not limited to)
Position regularly requires the use of golf carts, range picker or other required machinery.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions including extreme heat, rain, or cold.
- The employee is regularly exposed to vibration due to riding the golf car and range picker or other required machinery.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to ride in golf car over uneven terrain.
- The employee is frequently required to stand or walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear.
- The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, push and pull.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- The employee must be able to operate foot control on golf car and range picker cart.
