We are looking for a Designer to join Stylist on a part-time basis (1 day a week) for a period of 12 months.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Overall Objective:
- To create industry-leading design for Stylist, targeted at affluent women and advertisers wishing to reach them, on time and on budget
- To design social, Stylist+ and email assets across all Stylist franchises, and for other areas of the brand as required
We’re searching for a dynamic, enthusiastic and digital-savvy candidate who loves to solve creative problems and can help us take our content to the next level.
Key Responsibilities:
- To maintain a fine understanding of the tastes and interests of the Stylist advertisers and readers.
- To create social assets as and when required; to support and promote all digital and print Stylist content
- To create email assets for the How to work email (every other Friday)
- To create imagery for Stylist.co.uk as and when required
- To originate picture ideas and concepts to bring to the Friday Art team Stylist+ meeting for the plus assets
- To assist the team with outstanding reprographics and art desk admin
- Supporting other Designer’s with their workload as required
- To build and create the digital iteration of the Stylist+ mini-mag on Canvas Flow (knowledge of software would be a bonus but not required)
- To assist with any other areas of the brand where design is needed such as marketing and small events assets
Secondary Responsibilities:
- To maintain a strong reference library and good eye on contemporary design trends and developments
- To leave good pass-on notes and material for any absence and ensure good holiday planning in the department
Requirements:
- Experience in designing creative, fun and exciting digital imagery with a keen eye for detail
- Highly organised and enjoys working in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Proactive, solution-based attitude
- Personable with strong communication skills and ability to forge strong relationships
- Represents the company in a professional and appropriate manner when attending shoots and liaising with external companies
- Ability to give and receive open and honest feedback – essential in creating a strong team culture and helping elevate standard of the overall team
- A professional team player with a positive and can-do attitude and works well under pressure
- Necessary software skills include Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, as well as experience of working in After Effects and Canvas Flow (preferable)
