Position Details:

Job Title: PRN Radiology Technologist, X-Ray

Status: This is a PRN, flexibility schedule position; Seasonal or year-round

Classification: Exempt - Salary

Schedule: Monday - Friday; Flexible

Location: Basalt, CO (imaging employees may occasionally travel to other clinic locations such as Frisco, Edwards, Basalt or Aspen)

Pay Range: $35 - $45 hr DOE

Position Overview:

Our X-Ray Techs operate radiologic equipment to take diagnostic x-rays. Performs routine diagnostic procedures. Takes, annotates and sends patient images. Assist clinical and administrative personnel by completing various forms and reports on patients.

Core Responsibilities:

• Operates x-ray machine to perform routine diagnostic procedures.
• Positions patients and adjusts equipment for taking x-rays.
• Observes patient vital signs during examination.
• Decides length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on individual patient basis.
• Authorizes release of patients upon completion of radiologic examination.
• Examines radiologic image for properties such as density and contrast, magnification and distortion.
• Prepares for delivery to radiologist/doctor for reading/interpretation.
• Maintains, cleans and disinfects x-ray rooms and office area.
• Fills and restocks necessary medical and radiologic supplies.
• Ensures radiologic equipment is clean and maintained.
• Places records in patient charts, adds billing codes for x-rays and keeps proper order.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Classification: PRN, Flexible schedule up to 30 hours per week; seasonal or year round

Compensation: range $35 - $45 hr. DOE.

Requirements

• Graduate of an ARRT approved Radiological Technology Program. Candidates that have the ability may be required to cover MRI modalities, and vice versa, as is needed by the business.
• Current ARRT license. 
• Travel to clinic locations that are not the home base of the technologist is required as needed by the team.
• Demonstrated problem solving and work flow management skills required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must maintain a professional attitude towards patients and an excellent and collegial working relationship with other Steadman Clinic and hospital personnel in involved in patient care.
• Must demonstrate understanding of procedures, policies and documentation required to ensure compliance with hospital standards of care.
• Excellent critical thinking skills, ability to work independently, and manage time effectively.
