Technical Consultant - MS Dynamics 365

Job Overview

As a Senior Retail Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for architecting, developing, and supporting complex retail solutions within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) platform.

You will play a key technical role in D365 Retail implementations, focusing on POS, Retail HQ, e-commerce integrations, and backend Retail business processes.

This role demands deep technical expertise in D365 F&O Retail modules, including development using X++, Retail SDK, POS customizations, and Retail Channel Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end technical solutions in D365 F&O Retail, including POS (MPOS/CPOS), Retail HQ, Retail Server, and Channel DB.
• Lead the development of custom features using X++, .NET, and Retail SDK extensions.
• Perform deep-dive technical analysis of Retail processes, including pricing, promotions, loyalty, store operations, and merchandise management.
• Manage complex integrations between D365 F&O Retail and third-party systems like payment gateways, loyalty systems, ERP, and e-commerce platforms.
• Work closely with solution architects, functional consultants, and customer stakeholders to ensure technical alignment and feasibility.
• Provide leadership in code reviews, performance optimization, and deployment planning.
• Oversee environment setup, LCS management, Retail Channel DB configurations, and Cloud Scale Unit management.
• Ensure compliance with Microsoft best practices, security standards, and design patterns.
• Mentor junior developers and ensure adherence to coding and documentation Skills & Experience :
• 810 years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 F&O, with at least 5+ years in the Retail module.
  
  

Strong Hands-on Experience In

• Retail POS customization (CPOS/MPOS).
• Retail SDK and CRT (Commerce Runtime).
• Retail Server and Cloud Scale Unit.
• X++, C#, .NET, and SQL Server.
• Proven experience with Retail configurations: assortments, pricing, discounts, loyalty, and store setup.
• Deep understanding of Commerce Headquarters and its interaction with the F&O core.
• Experience with Azure DevOps (build/release pipelines, Git), LCS, RSAT, and Power Platform is preferred.
• Integration experience using DMF, OData, Batch jobs, Retail APIs, and custom Qualifications :
• Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365: Commerce Functional Consultant Associate or equivalent.
• Experience in international Retail implementations or multi-country rollouts.
• Exposure to omni-channel commerce and unified commerce strategies.
• Knowledge of Power Apps, Power Automate, Azure Functions, or Logic Apps is a plus.
• Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
