The Sapling School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team in Fair Lawn, NJ. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and educational environment that fosters the growth and development of young children. You will lead classroom activities, support individual learning needs, and collaborate with staff and families to ensure a positive preschool experience.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Observe and assess each child’s progress and communicate regularly with parents and guardians.
- Lead a team of assistant teachers and collaborate with colleagues to enhance program quality.
- Maintain accurate records, including attendance, lesson plans, and incident reports.
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and school policies.
Requirements
- A degree or certification in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create engaging and educational lessons tailored to individual needs.
- CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
- Pass background checks and meet all state licensing requirements.
