<div><strong>Job Summary</strong></div><div>We are seeking a knowledgeable<strong> IT Lab Manager </strong>to join our team. As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring our customer's computer systems, networks, and equipment are operating at peak performance. You will also handle all IT support requests and assist colleagues with their IT needs. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills as well as excellent customer service and communication skills. <br><br>
</div><div><strong>Responsibilities </strong></div><ul>
<li>Maintain a clean, organized, and functional lab environment, including cable management, server racking, and equipment power-down/up.</li>
<li>Enforce strict physical security protocols, controlling access to the laboratory, and ensuring compliance with federal guidelines</li>
<li>Perform physical inventory control, including receiving, tracking, transporting, and deploying IT equipment (servers, switches, workstations).</li>
<li>Maintain accurate records of all hardware/software, tracking assets throughout their lifecycle.</li>
<li>Assist technical staff with patching, network connectivity, and troubleshooting hardware issues. Configure test network infrastructures (LAN/WAN).</li>
<li>Ensure all lab activities comply with safety protocols, including ESD protection and proper disposal of electronic components.</li>
<li>Assess security risks and ensure the security of networks and computer systems</li>
</ul><div><strong>Qualifications</strong></div><ul>
<li>A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field is preferred</li>
<li>3-5+ years of experience in lab management, systems administration, or IT asset management</li>
<li>Familiarity with Linux/Unix, Windows OS, and networking basics.</li>
<li>Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills</li>
<li>Ability to work well as part of a team</li>
<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li>
<li>Understanding of data privacy and security </li>
</ul><div><strong>Physical Demands</strong></div><ul>
<li>Must be able to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs regularly (servers, UPS units, workstations).</li>
<li>Capable of performing tasks requiring bending, crouching, kneeling, stretching, and standing for extended periods.</li>
<li>Ability to work in constrained or high-noise environments.</li>
<li>High finger dexterity to handle small parts, cables, and tools.</li>
