Queen Maeve Bar & Restaurant is seeking an experienced and driven Floor Manager to support our General Manager and play a key leadership role in daily operations. This is a hands-on position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume New York City environment and takes pride in creating exceptional guest experiences.
We are looking for a hospitality professional who shows up every day ready to ensure the restaurant is fully set up for success-leading by example and acting as the face of the floor during service.

Oversee all front-of-house operations under the guidance of the General Manager

Act as the primary floor presence, ensuring service standards are executed at the highest level

Conduct daily walkthroughs to inspect the restaurant's readiness, cleanliness, and overall presentation

Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of all FOH/BOH areas, equipment, and facilities

Supervise staff performance, providing real-time coaching, direction, and support

Guide, train, and motivate service staff while maintaining strong floor awareness

Monitor guest flow and proactively address bottlenecks or service gaps

Personally oversee and engage with VIP tables and key guests

Anticipate guest needs and build relationships with regulars, VIPs, and new clientele

Oversee and manage comp and void reporting

Oversee tip reporting and ensure accuracy and compliance

Ensure all service areas are fully stocked with necessary supplies (tableware, glassware, linens, etc.)

Maintain clear communication with the kitchen regarding pacing, guest needs, and service quality

Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment

5+ years of relevant experience in high-volume, highly rated NYC restaurants preferred

Strong leadership presence with a hands-on, proactive approach

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure

Experience with Toast POS, OpenTable, and Microsoft Office

Strong understanding of NYC hospitality standards, DOH compliance, and labor practices

Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Event planning experience is a plus
