Pay Details:
- Salary Range: $60,255.00-$70,655.00/ plus overtime hours paid according to WA state law.
- Salary is calculated based on years of experience and education.
- Pay Increase upon successful completion of training.
- Average 46-49 hours per week. Overtime is paid according to WA state law.
Kitchen Manager Job Description:
The Kitchen Manager plays a vital role in the over success of the restaurant. The KM oversees all kitchen operations, ensuring efficient and smooth functioning of the culinary process. The primary focus of the Kitchen Manager is to maintain high-quality standards, provide positive leadership of kitchen staff, and successfully collaborate with other departments to deliver exceptional culinary experiences to all our guests.
What You Will Do:
- Supervise, train, motivate and mentor kitchen staff utilizing positive leadership skills and leading by example.
- Schedule and organize shifts to ensure adequate coverage and optimal productivity.
- Promote effective communication and teamwork among kitchen staff and other departments.
- Ensure adherence to standardized recipes, portion sizes, and food preparation techniques to maintain consistent food quality.
- Monitor food inventory levels, place orders, and manage food costs to maximize profitability.
- Conduct regular inspections of food products, equipment, and storage areas to maintain cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation processes to meet quality expectations, timely service and exceptional culinary experiences for guests.
- Ensure and maintain health and safety regulations, including food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures are followed
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, invoices, and receipts to facilitate accounting and financial reporting.
- Establish and maintain relationships with food suppliers, negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules.
About You:
- Prior experience as a kitchen manager, sous chef, or similar supervisory role in a restaurant in the hospitality industry.
- In-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, food safety regulations, managing budgets, cost control and optimizing resources.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to effectively manage a diverse kitchen team and collaborate with other departments.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Strong focus on accuracy and precision to ensure consistency and quality in every dish prepared.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively as part of a team, leading, supporting and assisting colleagues for success.
- Ability to lift 40lbs and continuously stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
