About the Team We are looking for backend engineers on a variety of teams to join our organization in impactful, hands-on roles. The rate of pay for this role is $40.00 per hour. Interns work 35 hours per week. This is a hybrid role based in New York. Responsibilities: Have empathy for existing solutions and issues Be able to work in a collegial environment with peers from diverse backgrounds and skills Be a committed bug hunter Enjoy commenting your code Have interest to learn: System design and architecture, with an emphasis on building for scale Docker/Kubernetes Public cloud platform services: Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery techniques and tooling Multi-tier application architecture & concepts of networking, load balancing, monitoring and *nix OS Basic Qualifications: You have at least 6 months of educational or professional experience with backend engineering Preferred Qualifications: Have programming and syntax knowledge in Go, Python, Java, Scala, or other similar backend programming languages You understand data modeling in both SQL based and NoSQL database systems You understand version control using Git and Github.com
