Position: UX/UI Designer Location: Remote (U.S. only) Duration: 6+ Month Contract Pay Rate: $60–$70/hour (W2) Logistical Requirements: At this time, due to federal IT contract requirements, we can only accept candidates who are U.S. citizens. Our organization requires that all work, for the duration of your employment, must be completed in the continental U.S. unless required by contract. Must be able to work during eastern time unless approved by your manager. About the Project: Join a high-impact digital innovation team supporting federal health initiatives. This role is ideal for a UX/UI Designer who thrives in agile environments and is passionate about creating accessible, user-centered experiences for public-facing digital products. Key Responsibilities: Lead UX/UI design from concept to delivery (wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity designs) Develop and maintain design systems and component libraries Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, content strategists, and stakeholders Ensure compliance with Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions Translate complex requirements into intuitive, inclusive digital experiences Support developers with detailed specifications and design guidance Qualifications: 5+ years of experience designing digital products 2+ years working on federal/state digital initiatives (e.g., .gov websites) Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools Strong understanding of HTML/CSS and design-to-code workflows Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design Experience with agile methodologies and tools like Trello Excellent communication and facilitation skills Education: Bachelor's degree in UX design, HCI, graphic design, or related field Logistics: All work must be performed within the continental U.S. Must be available during Eastern Time hours unless otherwise approved.
