Title: Network & Access Services Manager
Scope: Global, Full time
Location: Pune Ice Cream Office, India
JOB PURPOSE:
As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking a highly skilled IT Network Services Manager (Architect) to join our dynamic team.
The role is part of the Technical Platforms team.
The newly created Ice Cream Technology function will drive the technology set-up, standalone design and implementation of all required technology capabilities to enable Unilever’s Ice Cream business to become a fully functioning standalone company, separate from Unilever.
The IT Network Services Manager (Architect) is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the organization's network infrastructure. This role ensures the network's reliability, security, and efficiency, supporting the organization's operational needs and strategic goals.
The successful candidate will be one that has significant IT expertise with a proven record of leading large-scale transformations and has a passion for building world class IT solutions, environments and E2E tech architecture that make a meaningful impact.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Network Design and Architecture: Design, develop and implement network architecture solutions that are robust, scalable, highly automated and secure.
- Network Operations & Management: Oversee the daily operations of the network, ensuring high availability, reliability and optimal performance. Establish the necessary ITIL disciplines providing the required reactive and proactive processes are in place. Implement automation tools to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual interventions to ultimately zero manual interventions.
- Security: Develop, implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, cyber threats, and data breaches. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and address risks proactively. Stay updated on emerging threats and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of internal and external resources providing guidance and support.
- Project Management: Manage network-related projects, from planning and execution to monitoring and completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. Set up and execute network strategy and architecture of IC company and execute deployment
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT departments, business units, and external vendors to ensure seamless integration and operation of network systems.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures. In collaboration with IT Service Management prepare regular reports for example on network performance, incidents and project progress…
- Innovation: Research and promote emerging services or technical features with particular emphasis on Autonomous AI evaluating potential benefit to the organisation.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of network design principles, core network protocols, network security, cloud networking, automation and monitoring tools and emerging network technologies.
- Experience: Proven experience in network design, implementation, and management.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading technical teams.
- Project Management: Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Security: Expertise in network security best practices and compliance standards.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or CompTIA Network+ are highly desirable.
