About the role
We are seeking a creative and skilled Data Scientist to join our team in training and refining an AI model housed within OpenAI. This model will help specialist dental practices optimize their business strategies by interpreting practice data and generating interactive, dashboard-like reports. The ideal candidate will have experience in AI model training, data structuring, and report generation, with a strong focus on generating key insights and providing strategic recommendations. This is a long-term contract position with full-time hours.
Key Responsibilities
AI Model Training & Development: Train and optimize an AI model housed in OpenAI to analyze and interpret specialist dental practice data, ensuring it provides actionable and meaningful insights.
Data Structuring & Privacy: Work with developers to collect, clean, and structure data from various specialist dental practices. Ensure data privacy by allowing participants access only to their own data or anonymized group data.
Creative Data Presentation: Develop creative and easy-to-understand graphical displays of data through interactive reports that function more like dashboards, making the insights easily accessible for specialist dental practices.
Insight Generation & Comparators: Generate key insights and comparisons between an individual practice's data and anonymized group data, helping practices understand their position relative to others.
Regenerative Model Creation: Ensure the AI model is regenerative, continuously improving as more data is provided.
Collaboration & Business Understanding: Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand how specialist dental practices operate and generate revenue, and ensure the AI model aligns with business rules.
Production Deployment: Deploy the AI model into production environments, ensuring it is fully functional and scalable for long-term use.
Cloud Platform Integration: Work with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud (GCP) for machine learning and model training, ensuring the model's seamless integration into these environments.
Interactive Reports: Generate comprehensive, interactive reports with key insights, visualizations, and strategic recommendations for specialist dental practices, leveraging data from both individual practices and the broader group.
Requirements
Experience:
3-4 years of experience as a data scientist, with a strong focus on AI model training, data structuring, and reporting.
Experience in healthcare or dental industries is a plus but not required.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Python and R for data manipulation and AI model development.
Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
Familiarity with OpenAI API and other AI platforms is a plus.
Strong understanding of SQL for data querying and manipulation.
Experience deploying models into production environments.
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud (GCP) for machine learning and model deployment.
Analytical & Creative Skills: Expertise in exploratory data analysis (EDA), data cleaning, and structuring, along with the ability to present data creatively and clearly.
Business Acumen: Ability to understand specialist dental practice business rules and apply them to the model to generate actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to clearly explain complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Collaboration: Proven ability to work remotely with cross-functional teams, including developers and SMEs, to build and optimize AI models.
