H-J is looking for a strategic, data-driven Pricing and Profitability Specialist to help drive smarter pricing decisions and improve margin performance across our product portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining analytics, business strategy, and cross-functional collaboration to influence real business outcomes.
You won’t just maintain price lists—you’ll play a key role in shaping how we price our products, support our sales teams, and ensure we are capturing the full value of what we deliver to our customers.
What You’ll Do:
Pricing Strategy & Architecture
- Partner with the Director of Global Product Management to define pricing strategies across product lines
- Establish competitive price positioning and value-based pricing models
- Design pricing structures across standard, premium, customized, and legacy products
- Align pricing with product lifecycle strategies and profitability targets in partnership with Product and Category Management
Profitability & Margin Management
- Monitor gross margin and analyze profitability by product line, customer, and region
- Identify margin erosion drivers and recommend corrective actions
- Analyze historical transactions, win/loss data, and pricing variability
- Identify underpricing, overpricing, and inconsistencies in commercial terms
Commercial Decision Support
- Support data-driven pricing decisions and major non-standard opportunities
- Define price corridors, floor pricing, and target margins
- Provide scenario analysis and risk/return insights
- Act as a commercial partner to Sales during negotiations
Price Execution & Governance
- Lead annual price increase processes and cost-driven repricing initiatives
- Support customer segmentation and pricing elasticity strategies
- Coordinate internal approvals, alignment, and customer communication
- Track post-implementation performance and value capture
Tools, Systems & Enablement
- Develop and maintain price books, discount matrices, and quote calculators
- Build dashboards and KPIs such as price realization, margin improvement, and discount compliance
- Equip Sales and Client Service teams with pricing guidance, tools, and negotiation support
- Ensure pricing models are practical and usable by frontline teams
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with:
- Finance on margin targets and profitability analysis
- Product Management on value positioning and lifecycle strategies
- Operations/Sourcing on cost inputs and supply constraints
- Sales and Client Service on execution and deal support
- Serve as a key translator of pricing strategy across departments

What We’re Looking For:
Experience
- 6–8 years of professional experience
- At least 4–5 years in pricing, financial analysis, product management, or commercial roles
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or B2B environments is strongly preferred
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field required
- MBA is a preferred
- 6–8 years of professional experience
- 4–5 years of experience in pricing, product management, commercial excellence, or profitability analysis
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or B2B environments preferred
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of pricing methodologies, including value-based pricing
- Experience with margin and profitability analysis
- Advanced Excel and/or Power BI skills
- Experience with data modeling, pricing tools, and transaction analysis
- Understanding of pricing governance and commercial policy development
