</div><div>The Goddard School located in Chicago (South Loop), IL 60616 is looking for motivated self-starters for multiple positions as a Daycare Teachers at our new preschool for ages ranging from 6 weeks to 6 years. Our state of the art facility is expanding in the South Loop neighborhood of Chicago downtown, just blocks away from CTA and Metra Electric.<br><br>

<strong>Overview<br></strong><br>
</div><div>A Lead Pre Kindergarten Teacher is responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment. Additionally a teacher is responsible to work together with another teacher and in conjunction with the entire faculty.<br><br>
</div><div>
<strong>Educational Qualifications<br></strong><br>
</div><ul>
<li>An Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Elementary Education, Child Development or a related field.</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Elementary Education, Child Development or a related field is preferred.</li>
<li>Child Development Associate (CDA) Certification.</li>

<strong>Lead Pre Kindergarten Teacher Responsibilities:<br></strong><br>
</div><ul>
<li>Developing lesson plans.</li>
<li>Meeting the individual needs of the children</li>
<li>Parent communication</li>
<li>Participation in staff and training meetings</li>
<li>Designing an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom</li>
<li>Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning</li>
<li>Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level</li>
<li>Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem and social skills.</li>
<li>Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff</li>
<li>Building teamwork</li>
<li>Using assessment tools</li>
<li>Committing to continuing education</li>
</ul><div>Teachers are responsible for compliance with Goddard's industry-leading Quality Assurance standards. Pre-K Teachers write and implement their own lesson plans based on Goddard Developmental Guidelines and monthly school themes. Most importantly, they create a positive learning environment in their classroom where children develop a lifelong love of learning.<br><br>
