<div><strong>Job description</strong></div><div><br></div><div>The Goddard School located in Chicago (South Loop), IL 60616 is looking for motivated self-starters for multiple positions as a Daycare Teachers at our new preschool for ages ranging from 6 weeks to 6 years. Our state of the art facility is expanding in the South Loop neighbourhood of Chicago downtown, just blocks away from CTA and Metra Electric.<br><br>

<strong>Overview<br></strong><br>
</div><div>A Lead Infant Teacher is responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment. Additionally a teacher is responsible to work together with another teacher and in conjunction with the entire faculty.<br><br>
</div><div>
<strong>Educational Qualifications<br></strong><br>
</div><ul>
<li>An Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Elementary Education, Child Development or a related field.</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Elementary Education, Child Development or a related field is preferred.</li>
<li>Child Development Associate (CDA) Certification.</li>

<strong>Lead Infant Teacher Responsibilities:<br></strong><br>
</div><ul>
<li>Establish and maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment</li>
<li>Develop an appropriate classroom management system to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom</li>
<li>Ensure that children are always within state ratio requirements</li>
<li>Perform cleaning responsibilities (e.g., spills) immediately</li>
<li>Advance children’s physical and intellectual competence</li>
<li>Adapt program to meet the individual needs of each child</li>
<li>Create a multi-cultural learning environment</li>
<li>Provide a variety of developmentally appropriate activities to engage children in learning</li>
<li>Respect cultural and ethnic diversity</li>
<li>Communicate, in a professional manner, with families and faculty</li>
<li>Encourage families to become an integral part of their children’s learning experiences</li>
<li>Maintain a portfolio for each child</li>
<li>Maintain the classroom Parent Board</li>
<li>Perform child observations and document in their portfolios, Use assessment tools (e.g., Progress Reports, Children’s Progress)</li>
<li>Attend faculty meetings, in-service days, conferences and professional growth opportunities</li>
