<div><strong>Job description</strong></div><div><br></div><div>An Floating teacher at The Goddard School is responsible for helping to establish and maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment. A Resource is responsible for working with all the staff members as per the responsibilities assigned by the management.<br><br>
</div><div>
<strong>Qualifications:<br></strong><br>
</div><div>A Floater Staff must meet the qualifications of:<br><br>
</div><div>- The ability to understand and support the education program using “learning through play” philosophy.<br><br>
</div><div>- The ability to interact closely with children at their level, within sight and sound supervision at all times.<br><br>
</div><div>- The ability to change children’s diapers and/or assist in toileting (where necessary);<br><br>
</div><div>- The ability to communicate effectively and professionally with school personnel, children and parents.<br><br>
</div><div>- The ability to handle crisis situations, including assisting in evacuating the building during emergencies.<br><br>
</div><div>-The ability to safely walk children from room to room or playground or an outdoor area.<br><br>
</div><div>-Willing to clean and sanitize surfaces and learning materials regularly and as needed basis<br><br>
</div><div>- Ability to break teachers during nap times while supervising children actively at all times<br><br>
</div><div>- Ability to obtain resources to support learning environment in the classrooms<br><br>
</div><div>-Ability to use ipads for assisting teachers with daily reports<br><br>
</div><div>A Floater Staff must meet one of the following educational requirements:<br><br>
</div><ul>
<li>High School Diploma with at least 12 credits in Early Childhood Development or related field</li>
<li>A Child Development Certificate or higher preferred</li>
</ul><div>Responsibilities<br><br>
</div><div>The Floater/Assistant teacher’s responsibilities include assisting the lead teacher in implementing the lead teacher’s responsibilities including but, not limited to the following:<br><br>
</div><ul>
<li>cleaning and sanitizing</li>
<li>active supervision</li>
<li>Helping teacher with resources</li>
<li>Assist food staff with distribution</li>
<li>Opening and closing Checklists</li>
<li>Ensure that classroom equipment is in good repair</li>
<li>Understand and implement The Goddard School® emergency procedure(s)</li>
<li>Promote healthy eating practices at lunch and snack times</li>
<li>Ensure that children are always within state ratio requirements</li>
<li>Perform minor cleaning responsibilities (e.g., spills) immediately</li>
<li>Perform major cleaning during times when children are not present</li>
<li>Understand and adhere to the GSI Behavior Policy</li>
<li>Encourage empathetic and respectful feelings for others, as well as the environment, through positive modeling</li>
<li>Respect cultural and ethnic diversity</li>
<li>Promote “learning through play” philosophy and educational objectives</li>

</div><ul><li>Monday to Friday: 3 PM to 6 PM or 4 PM to 6 PM.</li></ul><div>Work Location: In person<br>Note: Must be Co-VID Vaccinated.</div>
