The Fountain Trust Company, a community bank with 20 banking locations throughout Indiana and eastern Illinois is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our Loan team. The Loan Processor will be responsible for reviewing, verifying, and processing loan applications to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with all regulatory and internal guidelines. This role involves working closely with loan officers, customers, and third parties to facilitate a smooth and timely loan origination and closing process. This is a full-time position that can be performed from several of our branch locations.
What You’ll Do:
• Loan Application Review: Perform thorough evaluations of incoming loan applications to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Documentation Collection: Gather and review required documentation to support loan approval decisions.
• Borrower Verification: Verify borrower identity, review credit history, and assess financial qualifications.
• Compliance Adherence: Follow underwriting guidelines in accordance with federal laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Communication: Collaborate with loan officers, borrowers, and third parties to collect and provide necessary loan information.
• Third-Party Coordination: Request and obtain required information from third parties, including realtors, title companies, and other stakeholders.
• Document Preparation: Generate and deliver required disclosures and loan documents in compliance with CFPB and TRID regulations.
• Closing Coordination: Prepare loan files for closing and coordinate scheduling with all involved parties.
• Post-Closing Review: Review completed loan documents to ensure accuracy and proper execution.
• Loan Funding & Boarding: Process loan funding and ensure proper system boarding after closing.
• Confidentiality: Maintain customer confidence by safeguarding sensitive and confidential information.
• Other Duties: Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.

What You Need to Succeed:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; background in finance, economics, or a related field may be considered.
• Experience: Experience reviewing financial, mortgage, or legal documentation preferred.
