Role: Computer Science Teacher We seek a passionate and experienced Computer Science educator who can engage students, promote computational thinking, and develop problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will deliver interactive and hands-on lessons that prepare students for GCSE, A-Level, and IB Diploma examinations. Key Responsibilities: - Teach Computer Science and ICT to Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and A-Level students under the National Curriculum for England. - Design and deliver engaging, project-based lessons that integrate coding, programming, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies. - Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring high academic achievement. - Incorporate real-world applications of computing to make learning relevant and exciting. - Utilize modern software, hardware, and online learning tools to enhance digital literacy. - Promote STEM education through clubs, hackathons, and coding competitions. - Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Computer Science curriculum and implement best practices. - Support school-wide initiatives and contribute to the extracurricular program. Qualifications & Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - PGCE with QTS or an equivalent recognized teaching qualification (UK preferred). - Minimum of two years' teaching experience in a British curriculum school. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++. - Experience teaching computer science theories, algorithms, and software development. - Ability to provide an ICPC and a UK-enhanced DBS or equivalent police check. - Strong communication skills and a passion for student-centered learning. - Willingness to contribute to extracurricular computing clubs and digital literacy programs.
