About the role

We're looking for a hands-on Data Visualisation Designer to shape the future of how we represent, interact with, and embed data across the entire Jio ecosystem – from screens to physical spaces. This is not about making charts pretty – it's about building scalable, meaningful, and context-aware data experiences that feed directly into our Experience System and our future AI-powered Experience Builder.
Experience
- 5 to 10 years of experience in data visualisation, information design, or system-based design roles
- Expert-level skills in Figma, with experience working within Design Systems
- Strong systems thinking mindset – not just crafting one-off visuals, but building tools and frameworks others can use
- Coding experience (e.g. JavaScript, D3.js, WebGL) is a plus but not required
- Comfortable in fast-paced environments, able to assess existing work and move forward quickly
- A thoughtful, open, and curious approach to solving design challenges, with a focus on experience over visuals
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with interactive data, sensor-based environments, or spatial and multi-modal interfaces
- Background in motion design or 3D thinking applied to data experiences
- Familiarity with AI-assisted design-to-code workflows
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of a comprehensive data visualisation component library inside Jio's Design System
- Work in Figma to define visual patterns, interaction models, and scalable design solutions for data
- Collaborate with engineers and AI teams to ensure these designs are code-ready and can be translated into reusable tokens and frameworks
- Build and maintain a system of data-vis components that can be used across verticals – Health, Finance, Telecom, Retail, Agriculture, and more
- Think beyond screens: include 3D, motion, and physical environments where data plays a role in real-world interaction
- Bring clarity to complex information through contextual and thoughtful design rooted in customer needs and feedback
