About the role

About The Role & Team As the Manager of Distribution Logistics at Disney, you will play a crucial role in coordinating our business trading plan across retail functions, fulfilment centres, and service partners. Your responsibilities will include managing product throughput, volume, and service forecasts to establish logistics operations that achieve targeted output and performance. You will oversee the daily operational management of third-party fulfilment centre contracts and maintain strong relationships with service providers. This role involves occasional travel to our UK site in Coventry, our EU site in The Netherlands, and our main London office in Hammersmith. What You Will You Do Support the Senior Manager, EMEA: Assist with the daily management of 3PL contracted services. Manage 3PL Service Contracts: Oversee third-party logistics contracts for UK and EU distribution, ensuring site preparedness to meet forecasts, manage performance, and oversee budgets. Develop strategies in line with the business's long-term plan. Optimize Facilities and Service Contracts: Ensure facilities and service contracts are configured to achieve key performance metrics and support targeted business growth. Liaison Between Stakeholders: Act as the conduit between business stakeholders, including Logistics, Fulfillment, Sourcing, Merchandising, Trading, and Finance, to convert business plans into actionable fulfillment strategies. Inventory Management: Ensure inventory availability and integrity, including planning and coordinating physical inventories in retail stores. Maintain accurate inventory records within fulfillment centers to support sales and compliance. Fulfillment Process Expertise: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of fulfillment processes and foster collaborative information sharing with key business partners. Provide analytical support for fulfillment and inventory activities, focusing on operational KPI performance. Team Leadership: Set clear objectives and accountabilities for team members to drive motivation and achievement. Support supply chain initiatives and ensure team members understand business processes and technical solutions. Recruit, train, and develop team members to reach their full potential and contribute effectively. Monitor resources to ensure adequate trained personnel are available to meet team responsibilities. Budget Management: Establish and gain approval for service budgets, oversee spending, and justify variances. Develop business cases to support new spending initiatives. Compliance: Ensure all business protocols and compliance for site, product, and personnel are understood and adhered to.
