About the Department
The Student Success Coach assists with recruitment and retention of students for the Nextgen Opportunity Workforce (NOW) Scholarship.
Position Duties
- Recruit students from the appropriate high school to apply for the NOW scholarship annually.
- Assist prospective students and NOW scholarship applicants to complete college and scholarship applications.
- Coordinate with Financial Aid to assist assigned students complete a FAFSA, as appropriate.
- Assess assigned scholarship recipients’ academic performance at least two times per semester and at the end of each semester.
- Coordinates with CFK tutors, as necessary to support the assigned scholarship recipients.
- Ensures that assigned scholarship recipients have appointments with academic advisors and are registered for each semester.
- Assists with coordinating recruitment and retention events including campus tours, application workshops, and other events as determined by the College.
- Serves as a primary point of contact for assigned scholarship recipients and CFK staff.
- Other related duties asassigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Highly proficient with computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Comfortable with learning innovative technology and systems.
- High-level of discretion required when dealing with confidential matters.
- Ability to effectively work with College employees, donors, students, and the community.
- Possess outstanding customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
- Understanding of, and commitment to Equal Access/EqualOpportunity.
- Knowledge of College mission, policies, procedures, and services.
Education and Qualifications:- Graduation from an accredited two-year college or university with an Associate’s Degree in a related field is required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year related experience isrequired.
(A comparable amount of training, education or experience may be substituted for the above minimum qualifications)
