The Coeur d’Alene Resort Spa is a luxurious 30,000 sq ft lakeside sanctuary nestled on the shore of Lake Coeur d’Alene, open daily year-round from 8AM to 8PM. With a dedicated team of 100+ professionals, the spa features 21 treatment rooms, a meditation lounge with sweeping water views, and a full suite of fitness, hydrotherapy, sauna, and salon amenities. Who Reports to Salon Lead:
Approximately (20) Salon Team Members across Hair and Nail Services
Hours:
Will generally follow a set schedule but may vary based on business needs (full time – 40 hours per week). Requires weekend, evening, and holiday availability.
Overview:
Leads and supports the Salon Team by combining hands-on service with strong operational leadership. This role is responsible for overseeing daily salon operations while delivering exceptional nail and/or hair services to Guests. As a key member of the Spa Leadership Team, the Salon Lead drives team performance, supports accountability, and ensures a high standard of service across all salon offerings.
Acts as a confident and reliable leader, managing a team of approximately 20 professionals while maintaining a Guest-first mindset. Oversees scheduling, inventory management, service development, and team support, while resolving Guest concerns with professionalism and care. This position requires a self-motivated individual who can take ownership, lead independently, and contribute to the continued growth and success of the spa. Above all, ensures every Guest enjoys a seamless, elevated experience.
Duties:
• Supervision: Manages and supports the Salon Team (approximately 20 team members), providing guidance, accountability, and leadership
• Independent Department Leadership: Owns Salon operations with minimal oversight, taking full responsibility for team performance, service quality, and Guest experience
• Service Excellence: Provides high-quality nail and/or hair services while delivering exceptional Guest care
• Operational Oversight: Manages daily salon operations, including scheduling, inventory management and ordering, and service flow
• Guest Service: Addresses Guest needs and concerns with professionalism, ensuring satisfaction and retention
• Staff Management: Supports training, development, and performance of Salon Team Members, offering feedback and coaching as needed
• Staffing Oversight: Creates and manages team schedules, ensuring proper coverage and operational efficiency
• Policy Enforcement: Maintains high service and operational standards, addressing inconsistencies with professionalism
• Innovation: Contributes to the development of new services and seasonal offerings that elevate the Guest experience
• Industry Knowledge: Stays current on trends, techniques, and innovations in salon services
• Cleanliness & Compliance: Maintains a clean, sanitary, and organized environment in compliance with health and safety standards
• Leadership Presence: Serves as an active and engaged member of the Spa Leadership Team
• Other Duties: Other duties as assigned
Schedule Requirements:
Requires a minimum of four days per week, including one weekend day, one morning shift beginning at 8AM, and one evening shift ending at 8PM. Flexibility to work holidays is required, with shifts rotated among team members. Each shift includes 30–60 minutes of administrative time dedicated to leadership responsibilities, with the remainder focused on providing services.
Qualifications:
• Must hold a current Idaho State Nail Technician and/or Cosmetology License
• Experience providing a full range of nail and/or hair services
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
• Ability to manage operations independently and make informed decisions
• Professional appearance and welcoming demeanor
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand movements
