About the role

The Bridgespan Group is a global non-profit organization that collaborates with mission-driven leaders, organizations, and philanthropists to break cycles of poverty and dramatically improve the quality of life for those in need. They are passionate about helping to find solutions to ensure equal opportunity and core human and civil rights. To achieve these objectives, they concentrate their efforts on four broad fields: education; children, youth, and families; public health; and global strategy development. Since their founding in 2000, they have helped some of the world's most innovative leaders, networks and organizations—individually and collectively—devise strategies and develop the capabilities needed to scale their impact, so that widespread and transformative change is achieved on the problems confronting society. With the goal of scaling social impact, their services include: Consulting to non-profits and philanthropists: Working with mission-driven social sector leaders to define impact and outcomes, they help them increase impact at a faster pace. They collaborate with philanthropists and foundations to translate values into goals, creating powerful initiatives that result in investments with higher impact. Leadership development support: Through their intensive Leading for Impact® program they assist non-profits and NGOs seeking to implement processes to enhance the leadership skills of current staff. They also help organizations build strong leadership teams and enhance team dynamics. And they advise foundations on how they can support talent development that flows into fields aligned with their interests. Their goal is to improve nonprofits' performance so they can work more effectively with their program participants and other stakeholders. Developing and sharing insights: What they learn from collaborating closely with social sector leaders, complemented by rigorous research, they share broadly to advance social change. They believe big ideas and actionable insights have the ability to change thinking, shape debates, and inspire action. Their consulting engagements and research projects ground their ideas and insights in the day-to-day work of leaders trying to make a difference in the world. What they learn guides their multi-year research investments in a small number of ideas with the greatest potential to influence the social sector. They also share what they learn in a number of ways, ranging from face-to-face conversations to conference speeches and from major publications to collaborative workshops.
