The Arc of the Quad Cities Area has an opening for two 3rd Shift Assistant Group Home Supervisors at our group homes!
The Arc's mission is to empower people with disabilities to believe in their own unique abilities and achieve their full potential by providing quality, innovative services that focus on advocacy, inclusion, independence, employment, meaningful community life, and personal happiness.
What does a 3rd Shift Assistant Group Home Supervisor do?
To be successful in this position, you need to be skilled at multitasking and organized, as it involves overseeing a large number of third-shift Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for the Residential Program Manager. When overseeing these staff, we aim to ensure the smooth operation of assigned homes and provide individual care and training for the individuals we serve. You'll manage staff supervision, training, and discipline, maintain a clean and safe environment, coordinate individualized development plans, and ensure regulatory compliance. Candidates must be comfortable performing DSP tasks to fill gaps, such as when an employee is absent, during new-hire and ongoing training, and in similar situations. This aspect of the job requires the candidate to be readily available to address urgent issues or emergencies that may arise, ultimately benefiting the needs of the home and enhancing the lives of its residents. The role involves direct personal and health care responsibilities, effective communication with families and community partners, and occasional driving for safety checks and support. Flexibility to work weekends and perform emergency drills is required. Join us to make a meaningful impact while ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of those we serve.
Someone in this position would need to be able to travel between different group homes within a single shift.
What hours would a 3rd Shift Assistant Group Home Supervisor work?

This position does require schedule flexibility, as you may need to come in early or stay after your scheduled shift to ensure the home's needs are met.
