The Licensed Vocational Nurse and Licensed Psychiatric Tech perform general nursing procedures, behavior management, direct care and training as dictated by the individuals' health and behavioral care needs. Primary Duties: - Assists with administration of medication policy to document and observe patient medication regimen.
- Participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team and contributes to the development of the Individual Support Plan.
- The LVN/LPT may function as lead staff on the shift and may oversee DSPs and/or CNAs.
- Responsible for providing active programming at all times.
- Assists with crisis management procedures as needed.
- Provide support during client’s vocational training. You may be required to work alongside client, engaged in the same job duties and adhering to same policies and procedures of the workplace (may include washing dishes, janitorial services, etc.).
- Responsible for adherence to standards, procedures and schedules established by their supervisor.
- Observes patients, charting and reporting changes in patients' conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment and taking any necessary action.
- Evaluates medical concerns and directs patients to emergency medical care when required.
- Works as part of a health care team to assess patient needs, plan and modify care and implement interventions.
- Assists the RN in overseeing patients
- Facilitates educational groups on health and medication management.
- Provides monitoring and supervision of patients to support non-clinical staff.
- Transport clients in company vehicle/personal vehicle to and from program as well as to any scheduled activities throughout the day.
- All other duties as assigned.
