About the role
Assessment and Evaluation:
- Conduct thorough assessments to understand patients’ physical conditions, mobility, pain levels, and limitations.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on individual needs, goals, and medical history.
- Use various diagnostic tools and tests to assess muscle strength, flexibility, and motor skills.
Therapeutic Intervention:
- Design and implement therapeutic exercise programs to improve range of motion, strength, and coordination.
- Provide manual therapy, such as joint manipulation, soft tissue massage, and other hands-on techniques.
- Use electrotherapy, ultrasound, or heat/cold treatments to relieve pain and promote healing.
Rehabilitation and Injury Prevention:
- Guide patients through rehabilitation following surgery or injury to help regain function.
- Educate patients on exercises, stretches, and body mechanics to prevent re-injury or manage chronic conditions.
- Recommend and train patients in using mobility aids, like crutches, braces, or orthotics.
Patient Education and Guidance:
- Teach patients and caregivers about exercise techniques, proper posture, and home care routines to support recovery.
- Offer advice on lifestyle changes to enhance physical health and reduce pain.
Documentation and Progress Tracking:
- Maintain detailed records of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes.
- Adjust treatment plans based on patient response and improvement over time.
