Core Purpose
To teach English to middle school students (Classes VI–X) in alignment with the CBSE curriculum, developing students’ reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills while fostering creativity, critical thinking, and a love for literature.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English Language and Literature to Classes VI–X as per the CBSE curriculum and school guidelines.
- Plan and deliver structured lesson plans, worksheets, projects, and assessments that strengthen grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing skills.
- Use interactive, activity-based, and student-centered teaching methods to enhance communication and language proficiency.
- Encourage reading habits, literary appreciation, creative writing, storytelling, debates, and other language enrichment activities.
- Evaluate student performance through classwork, assignments, projects, and examinations; maintain accurate academic records.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents to support continuous improvement.
- Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support and individualized guidance where required.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Prepare students for school examinations, competitions, and co-curricular literary events.
- Participate in departmental planning, curriculum development, school events, training programs, and professional development activities.
Qualification & Skills
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in English or a related discipline.
- B.Ed. (mandatory as per CBSE norms).
- Strong command over spoken and written English, grammar, and literature.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and student mentoring skills.
- Ability to inspire creativity, critical thinking, and effective communication among students.
- Familiarity with CBSE curriculum, assessment practices, and examination patterns.
- Proficiency in digital teaching tools and smart classroom methodologies.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
